2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve 4×4
I am to excited test driving a model that some of us have been waiting for a long time, a new generation of the large Jeep Grand Cherokee L as an extended SUV, for the first time ever with a new third row of seats. The Grand Cherokee L, for all friends and family.
This is the first generation of this type of large Grand Cherokee in the whole history of the Grand Cherokee. Finally, Jeep fans can enjoy and share your Grand Cherokee L with more than 5 passengers. Three rows of seating to enjoy plenty of interior space.
The Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee is becoming a classic and it is the favorite Jeep SUV among many drivers.
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee L is based on the Italian Giorgio platform, which was originally used for the modern crossover Alfa Romeo Giulia Stelvio of the Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan. According to its engineers, the platform was created taking into account all safety requirements, as well as the ability to locate all modern electronic security systems, including active driver assistance systems.
The fifth-generation Grand Cherokee is a three-row version, Grand Cherokee L. Italians make good kinds of pasta, pizza, and good wine, and now good Jeep Cherokee models.
The Jeep is a classic American car but is now based on an Italian platform, the Giorgio platform, which has been used by Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The globalization of the brand gives these platform changes, which were previously from Dodge and now are from Alfa Romeo.
The Grand Cherokee is available with three all-wheel-drive advanced options:
- Quadra-Trac I – single-stage transfer case
- Quadra-Trac II – two-stage transfer case with a reduction gear
- Quadra-Drive II – rear differential with locking function
2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve 4×4
Since its debut in 1993, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has become an iconic car, just like its brothers Cherokee and Wrangler. At the present time, it is one of the best-selling models of the Jeep brand.
More than 200,000 cars were sold in the United States last year alone. However, this SUV lacked the third row of seats that many of us wish to have in our SUV. Today a third row is a must for millions of families in the United States, and finally, there is an all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee L, where “L” stands for the large, extended platform.
The Grand Cherokee L’s cabin is very stylish and elegant. It’s sleek and modern now. It features a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system (8.4 inches as standard) and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The new Grand Cherokee includes all features and connectivity of Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi hotspot. There is plenty of wood and metal trim in the cabin. Top trims, like the Summit Reserve I am driving even have walnut inserts and heated ventilated seats with massage function.
The updated new model has 12 USB ports, five LED lighting options, four-zone automatic climate control with air vents for all three rows, and an optional 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.
The Grand Cherokee L’s wheelbase is 6.9 inches longer than the current two-row model, and the new model is equipped with an independent front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension.
This 3 row Jeep comes standard with the all-aluminum 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which produces 290 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. Optional is a 5.7-liter V-8 engine, with 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
Trims and Pricing for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
The new Grand Cherokee L is available in different trim models giving you the flexibility of different options, features, and pricing. The base trim model Laredo, starts at a low price of around $38K, while the top of the line more expensive model Summit Reserve that I am test driving starts at around $63K. I like the wide pricing allowing car buyers with different budgets to get their own Grand Cherokee L.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee L has been offered in four trim levels: Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve.

- ALTITUDE

The name of Jeep dates back to the glorious time of war, and where it appeared in hundreds of films with the typical gallants on duty, and set a trend with a name that everyone loves. Jeep is not only a brand, it is also a symbol of American history.
